What role does the concept/philosophy of duality (ying-yang) play in ancient Chinese culture?

so what do you guys think??

So what role does duality (the binary relationships between opposites, like ying yang) play in for example, the Shang oracle bone divination and the Book of Changes (i.e I-Ching)?

I have my own answer/theory, but i’d like to hear your. i’ll tell you mine in details .

I do not know anything about Shang oracle or Book of Changes, but yin-yang duality is the symbol for everything that exists, as you can’t notice shadow unless you have light. In other words something comes to existence and you can be aware of it only to the extent that you already acknowledge it’s opposite.
