He’s ballistic if a man is inthe yard working. He willrun down the st. to get to the lawn guy.?

This dog was badly abused for his first 11 months. That’s when
I rescued him from being put down. We have bonded & he has
been obedience trained except for the sit when someone comes to the door. I had a trainer here 3x. He upsets me
greatly when he seems to want to get out & get a piece of
the pool guy. He attacked the lawn guy. He nipped the
exterminator. I thought I could get a dog whisperer but have
not be able to.

blow off the ‘abused’ stuff – dogs don’t focus on that like people always do… Regardless of what you want to believe, he is NOT trained at all if he won’t even sit when someone comes to the door — trained is a dog that will obey when YOU want it to, not when HE happens to want to do it. Having some trainer come to your house is useless – you obviously haven’t learned anything and you need to — you need to find a GOOD motivational obedience class where you can learn to better interact with and train the dog. Just about everything you say is erroneous – you haven’t bonded well or he would obey you; he isn’t obedience trained or he would obey you. You continue to allow him to be in the situation to bite people and that is YOUR problem, not his — You say he will ‘run down the st.’ meaning you are letting him run loose… no television pseudo-trainer personality will help you… only YOU learning what you are doing and actually training the dog will.
