Whistle training a dog???????????????

Can I blow the whistle and when he comes to me click the clicker so that he knows that he is meant to come back to me? or will that not work?

Yes that will work however you should give your dog a treat too so that he has a reason to come back and enjoys the training, it would probably be easier to not use the clicker however it will work. Once hes 100% perfect at it you can rule out the treat and clicker and you will have a dog that is whistle trained!

Tip -
To whistle train your dog (without clicker) sit your dog down and blow the whistle and treat, blow whistle and treat, blow whistle and treat do this about 5 times it is called “charging up the whistle” this will teach your dog that when he hears the whistle he is going to get something good, step back from your dog blow the whistle and he should come to you to collect the treat, eventually go further away and then take it out side increasing the distance and blow the whistle for the dog to run back to you! eventually rule out the treats, always keep praise!
