Why does people view overweight people so negatively?

Now listen to me for a second.

I have mother who was overweight, but that didnt mean I didn’t love her.
In fact, I quite find overweight people unsually attractive. TV targets obese people in subtlely unkind way. They do it so it doesn’t ‘seem’ like their making fun of overweight people.

The worst I see are these awful commericals that show slightly pudgy people medically (pills) or surgically loosing weight. These crazy diets and these nylon girdles… Heck, how are they any different then nylon stockings?

I’d rather date a funny, outgoing overweight guy then a handsome, brawny guy any day.

It doesn’t have to do w/love. Of course, we all love our mom’s no matter what they look like.
I think it’s sick the way our fat nation glorifies skinny ppl on TV. Did u know the fattest city in the US is Miami? I’d never known if I went by the TV. Sit down and watch some commercials on MTV. They r all about loosing wt. Overweight men r more accepted on TV than overweight women.

It’s considered gluttonous to b overweight.
