Will I still get enough Vitamin D if I put sunscreen on?

Cus I had a Vitamin D deficiency before so I need the sun but I burn easily and I don’t want to get any more freckles.
So if I put sunscreen on, will I still get my Vitamin D, but prevent burning?
So if it won’t prevent freckles, does that mean I’d still tan (however gradual) even with sunscreen on?

No, putting sunscreen on reduces your Vitamin D production by 99.9%.

Sunscreen prevents Ultraviolet Light B from getting absorbed and UVB is responsible for producing Vitamin D by your Vitamin D receptors in your cells.

The answer above is totally wrong and Vitamin D is a pre-hormone which is converted to active form of Vitamin D after getting sunshine from a cholesterol.

Get 15-20minutes of sunshine between 10 am – 3 pm. Because this is the time when UVB comes in and use sunscreen after getting some sunshine because now you want to avoid UVA from burning your skin.

Remember. It’s a misconception that people think you still can make Vitamin D with sunscreen on. Dr. Michael Hollick, who has been researching about Vitamin D over a decade, proved all this and the studies show that EVEN THOUGH PEOPLE HAVE BEEN USING MORE SUNSCREEN FOR THE LAST THREE DECADES, SKIN CANCER RATE INCREASED MORE THAN WHEN PEOPLE DIDN’T USE SUNSCREEN. So put sunscreen on your face ONLY to make Vitamin D from other parts of your body(arms, legs, etc)
