If you own a shower curtain with a vinyl or plastic liner, do you ever put the liner in the washing machine?

I was thinking of washing mine with a little bleach to clean it and keep away mildew. Will this ruin it? (Our old house had shower doors.)

I wash mine with a few towels (they “scrub” it as it goes round) but be careful when you pull it out as it will have pockets of water trapped in it and make a mess. Then I even put it in the dryer for NO MORE than 10 minutes. It warms the plastic so the wrinkles fall out if you hang it right away.
