i was thinking about getting one but i wanted to know what ultra sonic sound ment.

Dogs have a wider range of hearing than humans do. They can hear higher pitched sounds than humans. So the whistle is ultra-sonic to us, but not to the dog. Actually, it is a rather loose phrase. Above sound is not the same as above hearing. But go ahead and get the whistle, you can communicate with your dog without bothering anyone else. Give it a cookie for me, will you? I love them.
