What dimensions of air travel pet carrier should I take for a 60lb pointer/lab mix, and for a border collie?

I am hesitating between large (35L 24W 26T) or extra large.

I would go with Larges on them. You do not want them in an extra large if they have too much room in them if they move around too much during flight. Be sure that they can stand up and turn around to lie back down. Make sure it is a flight with no layovers in it or 1 small layover in it.

I did ship a large female German Shepherd last year in an extra large. I was thinking of putting her in a Giant. I had one boy that was to go to Canada last year as well, the only way we could get him up there was in a Giant, and the cost got to be too much at that point also finding the planes that could handle a crate that large.
