Rope vs. Flat Halters?

I’m seeking opinions on rope halters. I’ve always used flat, as I am now with my 2.5 year old filly (no stud chain, just cotton rope lead or longe line). We haven’t been doing groundwork that long, just beginning to longe, and she’s generally good but has had moments of…unruly behavior (that issue may be a different post . Still, she ties nicely and doesn’t bolt or pull with the flat halter. Rope halter is tempting, but:
-Will it render the flat halter useless in comparison, once she’s felt the pressure of the rope knots?
-Will she become sour when training if she doesn’t like the pressure?
-How will this translate to the pressure of ground driving with a snaffle and noseband clipped together to the driving reins?

Or is it something that I could just be using to make training on the ground easier, with no side effects? Thanks in advance for your input!

i say the rope halters are just as good as the standard ones!! they have multiple benefits, there is no hardware to break, they put pressure on the poll and horses dont like that, it helps with the training process. it will not affect the horse the knots wont bother them either. i dont think you will have any side effects using the rope halter!!! kudos to you for checking and asking such thorough questions!!! you can also do an online search on the benefits of rope halters or check with a trainer to get their final thoughts as well!!!
