Training Door Bell

I am trying to bell train my 7 month old puppy. I hung the bell on the door, but he is afraid of it. Any help?

When I go to the door and ask if he wants to go out to potty he runs the other way because he hates the noise. I have sat down with him and the bell and tried to introduce it, but he wants nothing to do with it. I am afraid the bell training is actually going to hurt me instead of helping. Because if he is afraid of the bell, he won’t go to the door at all to let me know, then he will have accidents. Has anyone else had this problem? Thank you

your dog is very young, i would suggest , you get rid of the bell, my reasons are two fold , what happen when you lose the bell.? further more , he doesnt like it, so why carrying on with some thing that anit working ?. try feeding him ,about 20 mins later . let him out ,praise him when he done ,
you can train ,him to respond much faster with praise instead of alarming him , wish you well
