Remote dog collar training Vs. Treat or regular training?

if you have personal experience on this please share your ideas and opinions. What are the pros and cons of both? Do you have any advise? I have a 75lb blue nose Pit Bull who is loving and well behaved but who still needs some guidance. *** please refrain fromn leaving negative comments about pit bulls or their owners – thank you! ***

The remote trainer (e-collar) is an excellent tool. The key word tho’ is “remote”. It’s impossible to be handing out treats when the dog is a 1/4 mile away. (and yes I handle my dogs at those distances)
For the person training a pet, or a dog that works at their side, there is no reason for using the e-collar. It would actually be extra unneeded work, because like anything else the dog needs to first be conditioned to the e-collar.

Good tool for field trial and other upper level training, totally unnecessary for almost anyone else.

Positive reinforcement training is actually a misnomer. You can emphasize positive reenforcement, but it is impossible to use it exclusively. You use all of Operant Conditioning or you use none of it properly.
