Any ideas for home Agility Training?

I have a 1 1/2 year old cattle dog. she is very energetic and loves to run and jump. i want to train her in agility but i don’t know what to use for the equipment.
sorry one more question. does anyone know how high the jumps are for large and small dogs? my 3 year old chihuahua enjoys this too.

There’s a lot to agility, it’s not just about running and jumping. I think it’s great you want to train her, but i suggest you skip the idea of buying equipment and instead, invest that money into agility classes.

You don’t need to worry about the height of the jumps yet. That’s actually the last thing to deal with. Right now, you need to teach you dog some basic stuff, like crosses (rear cross, front cross, lead out pivots etc), distance work, lateral distance.

In the meantime, visit the CleanRun website and get a DVD on Foundation Training.

BTW, the jump height depends on the height of the dog at the shoulder.
