Holistic treatment for a tick bite on a dog?

My Friends rottweiler had a big fat tick on its rump about a year ago.Even though he removed the tick.The dog is still going crazy trying to scratch the area.Is there parasties causing this uncontrolable itching?And what natural recorse of treatment can he preform to help the pet?

Frequently when you remove a tick, the head remains embedded in the skin. Your friend needs to have a Vet cut it out so it can heal properly.
