What is the best tear Stain Remover or remedy for dogs?

DO NOT USE OVER THE COUNTER STUFF… it BURNS when you get it in their eyes and works as well as a warm water compress. I know your dog isnt a maltese, but this still applies

First, take her to the Vet to make sure she does not have red yeast or a bacterial infection. (they will give you a script for this and you will see results in like two days!) If neither, get her groomed really well. If you cannot afford to do this right now, start off with face washing at least three times a day. WARM water soaks… then dry with a towel. REALLY DRY as wet promotes the stains.

Use bottled water or filtered water because some tap water has minerals in it that will help tearstains worsen. ALSO, your food. I feed solid gold as it has no additives and I know the dyes won’t be coming out in their fur. (plus they have delicate skin so it keeps skin conditions at bay).

Once you get the tearstains down you can go to once a day face washes and brush with a soft brush.

I also give my dog a tums daily… was told about this old wives tale but it seems to work.

It is a long process but well worth it!
