What kind of dog should I be looking for if I want one nearly as small as a teacup?

After reading this article (http://www.barkrescue.net/teacup.htm) on teacup puppies, I no longer want one, but I still want a Small Dog. What kind of dog should I be looking into if I want a really small dog that isn’t sickly small like a teacup? I’m looking for a dog weighing 5 pounds at least.

Look at the breed standards and find ones where 5 pounds is the norm for the breed.

It is to be noted that a 5 pound Minpin is way out of breed standard and considered a runt. Not something I would want.
