My dog never stops barking! What should i do?

I have a teacup yorkie (about 5lb’s) and he barks at everything, when anyone makes a sudden movement, like if i got up from the couch fast, or put the leg part of the recliner down he will go nuts! Also when he hears or even sees a dog on the T.V. he goes crazy, and we slap him, but it only works in that moment, and same with yelling, how can i get him to stop because yelling and spanking isnt helping, i have tried a spray bottle, but it dosnt work, also please dont say shock collar, i will never put my dog in one!

What kind of person slaps a 5 pound dog? Do not slap the dog. “Tea cup” Yorkies are a puppy mill marketing thing and reputable breeders do not breed them so your puppy did not get the benefit of being raised by a knowledgeable breeder.

Enroll your dog in a training class or hire a professional trainer to help you. Slapping a tiny dog around is animal abuse, so get yourself some professional help before you kill or injure the dog. You have a worse problem than the dog does. If you are not willing to do this, please surrender the dog to a rescue or shelter.
