what is the best way to clean galvanized steel chainmail if you do not have the money for stainless steel shot?
hello I make wire jewelry out of galvanized steel wire, and I just noticed that I have misplaced my stainless steel tumbling shot for cleaning it all before going to market.
does any one have any idea of what else I can use that is cheap?
can I simply throw sand in my tumbler to clean the galvanized steel?
maybe crushed glass??
I don’t have alot of money but i need to clean my jewelery before I take to market, I think before headed out with it I’ll be coating it with clean nail polish but I need to clean it first..

How do you keep the galvanize from chipping off when you bend the jumprings?
How do you cut it? Do you have a website?
Normally would you polish this stuff with a tumbler?
I didn’t know galvi polished.
If you’re in a hurry, why don’t you just blacken it chemically for now.
I would imagine, if you have a rotary tumbler, you could use any small steel parts like screws, nails, ball bearings, nuts, washers, whatever.
