is there an effective way to kill ticks attached to hip of pet dog using a topical spray?

A spray? not that I know of. Topical prescription products will kill ticks, like frontline, advantage, etc. But they take a little while to do it, so it’s best to physically remove them from your dog due to the disease transmission risk. Google “Tick removal” to see how to do it properly witout leaving the head in or squeezing the stomach contents back into your dog.
