Do I need to freeze the Harlan Diamond soft before using them with my pet rats?

I know the bedding from the pet store needs to, so I won’t have any nasty parasites. But i heard this was for bedding that’s in the pet store. Is this true? Is this HT Diamond soft bedding safe?

I’ve heard of mites coming from CareFresh as well as wood shavings, but I haven’t heard of them coming from the Harlan bedding. I would recommend that you DO freeze, it just to be sure. Better safe that sorry! Though lice and mites are easily treated, it still is a nuisance and does cost money, plus your rats will be itchy and uncomfortable for a while.
