What is the best way to clean a pet’s bed?

I have purchased a soft Small Dog‘s bed for my cat which she unfortunately urinated on. This will not unzip and allow me to remove the stuffing to clean the outer portion. Any suggestions on how this can be washed or should I just throw it away?

friends of ours just chucks it into the chlorinated swimming pool and lets the chlorine clean it.
