i would like a small pet similar to sugar glider? but NOT nocturnal?

Hello! Thanks for taking the time to read my question! I am looking for a small pet that is easy for my to carry around and that is a a lovable/interactive pet. Something sort of like a sugar glider but i do not want a nocturnal pet, unfortunately sugar gliders are nocturnal. Suggestions please =) Thanks you!

Yes, most small mammals are nocturnal because they are prey and go to seek their food when predators are less active. Rats are very friendly, active, and intelligent, as are mice. Guinea pigs do not like to be carried around, and will pee or poo on you too.
