How to keep a dog from stripping it’s collar?

My Best Friend has a dog that strips it’s collar all the time. The only way they can keep him tied is to have his collar REALLY tight. You can barely slip one finger underneath it. I know this isn’t good for the dog at all. I want to help the poor thing out, does anyone know how to keep it from stripping it’s collar or any type of collars that might help? They put him in a halter and he somehow managed to get out of that. If there is no other way, I’m going to call someone and tell them about it. Thanks everyone!

Do you mean slipping it’s collar? I don’t know what ‘stripping’ a collar means.

If they are tying the dog up on a tight collar then they need to make other arrangements for their dog, such as a secure dog run before the poor dog gets caught on something and chokes.
In most places there is a time limit on how long a dog can be tethered.

It’s cruel to keep a dog tied up or chained, that’s why there are laws against it.
