When would a shirt be considered too small on a guy?

I’ve been wondering when a shirt would be considered too small on a guy. I like wearing slim, fitted shirts, and wear skinnys along with it. When would the shirts be too small to wear any longer? And also, as a 13 year old boy, how long do you think shirts would fit me before I have to get new ones? Like, how long would a shirt that goes right down below my pockets last me? Will they last a while?
