What kind of tights should I wear with a shirt dress?

I have a cute, black shirt dress that I want to wear for Christmas. But it’s going to be cold, so what kind of tights should I wear. I don’t want plain black because that’s boring.
It’s too gold for 3/4 length tights, also a shirt dress is NOT denim. It’s cotton.

try a pattern! Nordstroms/Macy’s have patterns.. like checks/stripes/argyle… it kinda breaks up the outfit.. very cute, when worn right! They would look great with a black dress
