How can I keep my stippling brush from shedding?

I just bought this drugstore stippling brush, because I wanted to start the stippling method for my liquid foundation because it makes the application thinner and it makes it look more natural. plus it’s better for your skin.

there is this brand from walmart that i really love! i was so amazed that i never expirienced ANY shedding with them, they are great quality. i bought the stippling brush today, and it sheds a lot.

is there any way i can prevent this?

I’m a decorative painter. So I know a bit about brushes. There really isn’t much you can do with a shedding brush. Most brushes will have the bristles blued in. If it’s shedding a lot it probably means the bristles were not well glued.

Take the brush back and tell them that the brush immediately started shedding and is unusable. I wouldn’t get another one at that particular store. Go to a different one and pick up one, it will be a different lot. If the other brushes in the line are good quality the stippler brush should be too. It could be that the stipler has been purchased through different suppliers and just isn’t the same quality. If the new brush does the same thing then write the company.

That being said: I have a feeling in regard to make-up brushes quality, you get what you pay for. At least that is the idiom in regard to artist brushes.
