is it safe to start my car with remote command centre whilst it is connected on a block heater?i never did it.

can you plse explain why not? it is freesing outside and i am tempted to start it but i wont if it is definately dangerous.thanks

It won’t hurt it. The block heater is seperate from your vehicles electrical system. Just unplug it before you drive off.

Think about it… the probes that are used to keep the block warm, usually via the coolant, are there all the time, and get as hot as the rest of the engine when it is running anyway. They are only energized when you have it plugged in. You are doing no harm by starting it first.

I have a diesel with block heater, and the remote start. I love it. Keep it plugged in over night, start it from in my home or office, and unplug it before I drive off, and have nice warm air coming out the heater before my but freezes to the leather seats.
