Making my own rolled leather purse handles?

I’m starting to make purses and tote bags and am really getting into it. But I want leather purse handles for some of them…the nice rolled ones that are much more comfortable …and they’re just too pricey for my budget. Does anyone know how I can make them myself from leather scraps? Or how you make the ones that are flat till you get to the part where your hand goes and then they’re rolled just at that spot?
