What other uses can I use along with frontline?

I have 3 dogs that are infested with fleas. I put the Frontline Plus on them but still the fleas are there. I bought some collars and some flea spray, but I dont want to use it on my dogs until I find out if it will be ok to combine the two or three together. Personally, I dont think that flea collars really work but Im desperate. The frontline is water resistant but dont know if it can be washed off with dog shampoo. I really dont want to have to wash them because its a big pain. I have a puppy that is over 6 months but under 1 year and 2 older dogs that are 7 years old. My older dogs weighs about 100lbs and the other about 130lbs.

First of all, you need to keep your lawn mowed and any weeds cut down. Then vacuum any carpets and throw the bag out. Wash all bedding, yours and the dogs in hot water. Get yourself some food grade diatomaceous earth. You spread it around your yard, and can feed it to your dogs as well. That should take care of the fleas, and you’re not using poison on your dogs.
