My pomeranian puppy gets sad if i leave the room while he is in his playpen!?

He barks and wails and tries to get out of the playpen what should I do?

I have a 4 month old pom. He sometimes crys and barks when I put him in his crate when I leave the room, when I’m in the room he never does it. I have a puppy kong stuffed with a puppy ziggie, (which he loves!) try buying that it will keep him busy for a long time. When he does cry don’t let him out, as this will reinforce the behavior. I just ignore mine when he crys, when he stops crying for awhile I will let him out.
