How do I keep my puppy from chewing my other dog’s collar off?

I have two dogs: a 1 year old husky mix and a 7 year old Golden Retriever. The puppy gets really excited whenever she’s around the golden and doesn’t want to leave him alone. He doesn’t seem to mind, as he just lays there and lets her chew on him, but she keeps chewing off every collar we buy him. How do I stop her from doing this? We can’t catch her in the act because when we’re around, she pays attention to us and not him, but when we leave, she’s back at it.
She has plenty of chew toys. We buy both of them new ones anytime we’re out, but she prefers to chew on his collar. And they’re outside dogs, so we keep collars on them at all times.

That’s dangerous, dogs have been known to get their jaws stuck in other dogs’ collars.

I suggest removing the collars. None of my dogs wear collars when they are unsupervised.
