Sims 2 seasons installs but wont load?

Hi all-
I just got a new computer and Sims 2, night life, open for business, university, pet all load and run fine. Seasons goes through the install process and it says install disk 1 then disk 2 then disk 1 again and then it does “The Sims 2 EP5 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.” I have all of the patches downloaded and no custom content. Im running Windows XP on a dell precision M65, nvidia quatro fx 350m, 2 gigs of ram, 90 gig hard drive, i tied ea support and they just told me to install the patches which i have already done. Any ideas?? Thanks

Before playing, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and click on the processes tab. Now, sort the processes by clicking on the User Name tab. Delete all processes under your user name and then close every application. Now try running The Sims 2, and don’t touch anything except to click on the neighborhood. It’ll take a long time to load.
