How can I cure my hamster’s eye infection in a home remedy?

please answer. i cannot afford a trip to the Vet and the nearest pet pharmacy is a 2 hour drive away. i am desperate for any answer. how can i cure my poor little hammy’s eye infection in a simple home remedy? please don’t say, “take him to the vet” or “put it out of its misury”. i am extreamly grateful to anyone who can give me a good remedy. i will try anything as long as it will save my little friend and thank you for your time.

don’t try to cure it yourself. you might just make it worse. and are you really going to trust people on the internet with the health of your hamster??

just wipe it softly every day with a washcloth soaked in warm water until you can take your hamster to the vet.

if the eye truly is infected, the only thing that will cure the infection is medicine from your veterinarian. anything else you try might help the symptoms, but won’t be killing off the infection.
