Ethical reasons for not using bears as pets or for entertainment?

I need to answer this for my homework, but I dont really understand too much, as ehtical and moral confuses me :S

Morals are usually referring to one’s personal beliefs as to what is right and wrong. Ethics are usually a standard that applies across a range of individuals, often in a certain trade for example ethical standards of doctors.
In this case, I would say ethics and morals are pretty similar anyway, only the morals are your personal belief of why it is wrong, and the ethical reasons may also be your personal belief, but they are something which is shared by a lot of people. Or at least thats how I interpret….

If you are asking for actual answers, I would say that ethical treatment of bears means respecting their needs and rights, as wild animals. So to keep as a pet, you are not allowing the animal to live the way it should, and in using them for entertainment you are exploiting them for personal gain. For a bear to be used for entertainment, it means it needs to be tamed, which probably involves being kept in a cage, not being allowed to mate when it wants to, and generally not being allowed to do the things that wild bears do. This is infringing the bears rights, similarly to how you couldnt cage a human and make them entertain people. Bears are wild animals and should be left wild. Hope this helps, I’m not sure if it makes that much sense or not…
