new to car sound systems?

i need to learn about sound systems. Like what subwoofers to get? How to know which amp fits it? The Ohms, and the Watts and stuff like that.
What would you recommend for a good decent system?

when it comes to power all you care about is RMS wattage (continuous) not max/peak wattage
as a rule the lower the impedance (ohms) the easier (cheaper) it is to power the sub
i like DVC (duel voice coil) vs SVC (single voice coil) because it gives you more wiring options for different impedance’s at the amp
the thicker your wire the better
all amps are not created equal (it HAS to be CEA-compliant), you don’t want a cheap over rated amp
its important to match your RMS wattage’s because too much power is just as bad as not enough power
as a rule companies that make CEA-compliant amps have better subs on the market too
