HELP! My dog will not let me clip his nail need help ASAP!?

Ok i have a year old basset hound and he will not let me clip his nails I am using the pedi-Paws and he had problems with a regular dog clippers. When i try to clip them he start growling and starts being aggressive like biting me and last night my mom was trying to clip them and he bit her soo hard she started bleeding and we tried putting a towel around him and a knee high nylon on him but they don’t work i try giving him a treat then clip his nail but he grew old of that and he eat them too fast and we now don’t know what to do! We need them cut by saturday cause we are going to a family get together! soo if you know anything please tell me!

get the dog to sit…

take your left arm (im right handed) and use the back of your arm and place it on the dogs neck..(GENTLY) so the dogs head is behind your arm,
and use your fore arm to lay the dogs paw into..gently hold the paw…and clip (only the white part).

i treat and have done this exactly once so far.

if this doesn’t work…then go to a groomer…they have specific tables and tools for unwilling dogs…(no harm will come to the dog, he will simply be restrained)
