Oscar Dog Food
feeding my adult dog?
Oscar is 15 Months Golden Retriever,and he is 30 KG, I am feeding him 2 times per day, I am giving him a half chicken and 1/2 Cup of dry food each time.
I want to swap to 1 time, do I have to keep the same quantity? or less?
because based on the written on the canned food, that is the adult dog should get about 1.5 KG of food per day.

While it can be more convenient to feed only once a day, it is much healthier to maintain a two-meal a day diet…same as humans, spreading out your caloric in-take works to regulate the metabolism to be the most effective. I would not suggest you reduce his meals to once if you want to keep him as healthy as possible. It is not uncommon these days for dogs to develop thyroid issues, and in Goldens especially, I’ve seen many dogs with these conditions…I wouldn’t do anything that could contribute to it, and stick with breakfast and dinner.
