My 8 year old dog is pucking and has diarrhea. I am not sure if she got into something.?
I did start to give her tablets of Green Grass from nutri-Vet. She took them last year without a problem. She has been eating the same Iams Dog Food and the same treats. Last week she was constipated but it was because I was a dummy and gave her those chewy bones. The chewy bones haven’t been a problem but i gave her more than one in a day so I have stopped the chewy bones. I will take her to the vet on Monday if this hasnt passed. She seems just fine otherwise. She is a rescue dog that I love very much, she is a lab-mix and her name is Tatum. She goes with me to work some of the time but her enviroment is safe (in my office, nothing on the floor for her to get into) she has a toy and Water Bowl.
I havent found any evidence that she has gotten into anything she should have. Nothing odd is coming out when she goes to the bathroom. She is very runny and she pucked this morning. Any idea’s on what I can do over this weekend? I will be watching her closlely. THANKS!
You could offer her some pedialyte (clear plain kind, found on baby aisle at drugstores and grocery stores). I wouldn’t feed her any more food today until he has had a chance to expel some of what is bothering him. Then you could try giving him some canned pumpkin- plain pureed pumpkin found in the baking aisle of grocery stores.
If your dog is still sick or you start seeing any blood from either end, get your dog to the Vet immediately. Since this is the weekend, you might want to consider going to a Vet today since many are open and it is cheaper than an Emergency Vet if the condition of your dog worsens. Call your dog’s regular Vet for recommendations, if available today, or call a Vet that is not an Emergency clinic that is open on Saturdays.
