Is IAMS Proactive good Dog Food?

This website says that comercial foods for you’re dog can kill you’re dog because of the “Preservitives” and “Chemicals” in the food. I wonder if Iams is a Good Dog food. And it concerns me alot. I only trusted Iams because it said it was “Vet Recommended”. Do you guys think/know if Iams Proactive is good for my dog?

As a pet owner- 3 dogs and 5 cats, who has fed Iams long before I worked for the company, I can tell you first hand that Iams is a great food! We do not use harmful chemicals in any of our formula’s.

As far as preservatives, fat is essential for healthy skin, shiny coats and for carrying important fat-soluble vitamins. But without preservatives, fats can become rancid and the nutritional quality deteriorates. Our natural preservation system includes vitamin E and other tocopherols. These ingredients are essential for preserving the high-quality diet that is so important for the health and well being of your pet.

Premium foods from The Iams Company are fixed-formula foods as opposed to least-cost formulas. Fixed formulas have a “stable ingredient profile.” That means the recipes don’t fluctuate with the cost of the ingredients and the proportions of those ingredients remain the same regardless of cost.
