I don’t have a mat at my house… can I learn to do a back handspring?

Will a matress work to learn… I have a twin sized one… but I don’t have a trampoline so I can’t do that… and about how long will it take for me to learn… I can already do a backbend….

i dont think for a first timer that you should use a mattress! i suggest going to a gym and getting a lesson because doing a backhand-spring the wrong way can cause many problems trust me!!!!! I am a gymnast and the best way to learn is with a spotter and with an incline mat!! If u have an incline mat u might be good to try on your own!
