Is it legal in Los Angeles to install a supercharger in a car such as a honda?

Is it Street legal in Los Angeles to have a car with a supercharger in it?

The best way to figure out first WHAT you can put in your car, that will scare the crap out of you when you stomp on the gas, is talk to a GOOD PARTS GUY, at a local dealer. since SMOG is something we are stuck with, you have to go with a newer motor that meets the guidelines, if your model car had a supercharged engine (and good parts guys should know this, then you need to set it up, and make sure it meets emissions requrements, or have a mechanic that cold pipes cars, whatever. It is not illegal, to do do anything to your car, there is no enforcement agency that will come along and rip out your engine for being to fast, (I have had my vehicles impounded, in the process of being arrested, with the cop who was jumping up and down, and screaming, you are under arrest, that truck is FAST!!!, so what you put under the hood is up to you, from previous experience, either set it up right to meet emissions laws, or sell the car, buy something pre 76 which no one cares about emissions, and stick anything you want under the hood, we always liked finding cars, that the factory made slow, like for example almost all 1959 or 1960 pickups came with six cylinders, so we would stuff some bad to the bone 350 out of a z28 doner wreck, build it to the edge and make a sleeper out of it, things like that. best of luck, its all about the research ahead of time now adays.
