How do i connect a Remote bass (level control) to my amp?

I just brought a kicker ZX300.1 and it came with a remote bass control. and i don’t know how to hook it up to my amp, it seems like it connects with a phone cord. Can i use any phone cord to connect it to my amp or do i need to buy a certain one?

On most amps, it looks like a phone cord. It’s an RJ-9 jack I think. This is the jack that plugs into the handset, not the wall. The one that plugs into the wall will usually be too big.
