Why, in Windows Vista, when you safely remove a flash drive, the LED light doesn’t turn off? How to fix this?

In windows XP when you safely remove the flash drive the led light on the flash drive turns off. but on vista the led remains on. is there a way to change this so the light turns off when you safely remove it?

The light is on when the computer is accessing the drive. In XP the computer cuts off access to the drive. In Vista, something different happens, so the light stays on. There is really no way to turn off the light, unless you disable the USB port in the Hardware Manager. You shouldn’t need to worry about it, as long as you aren’t transferring data when you unplug the drive.
