Leash Large
If a city Ordinance states that your dog cannot “run at large” does that mean you have to put a leash on them?
I’ve got a Animal control paper saying that the city ordinance code states that it is unlawful for any person owning a male or female animal within city limits to permit such animal to “run at large” upon the streets, thoroughfares or property of the city. My dogs are only outside when I am and NEVER leave the yard or even go in the street. So I don’t have to put a leash on them when I take them out do I? and I’m not violating this ordinance either am I?
It sounds like they’re directing the concern at dogs who are allowed to freely roam the neighborhood.
You should be fine if the dogs do indeed stay within the limits of your yard.
