Layer Nylon Dog
How can i make holes in thick nylon to make a dog collar?has to look good? how do they do it profesionaly?
can i use a regular sewing machine to sew 3 layers of seat belt meterial togeather?
A regular walking foot machine could handle it for sure. With this machine the foot and and needle moves with the feed dog. That helps pull heavier fabric through. You could put a puller on the backside of the machine and use a heavier needle. Just make sure you are able to time the hook to the needle.
Of course you could always try the machine you have if it’s not a walking foot, just bump the rpm’s down and go up on needle size a bit. Still need something to make sure its pulling it through if the feed dog can not handle it alone.
And professionals do not use a hot pick to melt through the nylon. They use a GROMMET machine. You wont be able use one. You will need to go to go to a hobby store or wal-mart maybe and buy some grommets and grommet tools to secure them.
