can u get the laser engravment in the apple store?

i’ve decided 2 treat myself 2 a newer iPod this christmas… i’d like 2 get the laser engraving on it aswell. but i personally prefer ,when buying something expensive, 2 get an introduction 2 wat exactly im buying. the engraving is on the apple website from what i know , but can u get this done in the apple store if bought there?

No. Engraving is only done at the depot by very expensive lasers, not cost effective to reproduce. It distinguishes the iPod from cheap counterfiets. Check your serial under “GB”. Yea.
