Large Dog Beds Cheap
How to help an animal rescue group effectively? Cheap supplies?
Im volunteering with an animal shelter (possible two) around the area I live in. I had to wait about 3 years, since I was 13 to be able to volunteer, Any way I have planned fundraisers, but I was hoping to provide supplies.
Looking around trying to compose a shopping list I found I could get leashes, collars, toys, treats and even kitty litter at the dollar store. Wal Mart carries many other items that I may need for a cheap price.
I was wondering which type of larger supplies were cheapest. Like dog houses, pet beds, ect. or where I can find items to help with the rescue.
Also, if you volunteer or work with a shelter how do you go about getting your supplies?

also, this is just for planning purposes because I do not have a job yet. I have put in applications and awaiting interviews. I would have around $100 a month if I get one of the jobs I applied for the rescue, so my monthly budget would be $110.
Food is also a big need. Any time you see dog/cat food on sale, pick up a bag. You can also gather up Pet Food coupons from people you know. That way the food is even cheaper for you to buy.
Also canvas your local thrift stores and yard/garage sales for cheap crates. Can never have too many crates! Same goes for blankets.
