Large Dog Bed

When I am lying in my bed I see a large black dog in my room?

It is just basically the large outline of a dog, no features on its face. Just black, but you can tell its a dog and very large. YOu can see the outline of its head and ears, it has a large snout like nose with ears that come up. Its tail is also up. Hope this makes sense and someone can tell me what it is? It just walks back and forth on the left side of my bed. It also sits at different parts in my room. It shows up very early in the morning, probably around 3 AM or after. Am I just going crazy or is it actually happening?
I do not own a dog, never have owned a dog. My door is always shut when I go to sleep. I always sleep very late(my job requires me to work till 2 AM). It does not happen every night.
But im not staring into complete darkness, my alarm cloak glows green so there is some light in my room, enough to see the carpet clearly on the left side of my bed.

Whoh, spooky.
