Large Dog

What would be a large dog that is “naturally” good with small children?

This was asked of me by a friend in the city that co-runs a daycare in, how shall I say, the seedier side of the tracks. They would like a large insurable dog on the premises to discourage unwanted visitors. The parents are with them on this endeavour as they have had some issues in the past.

Personally, I take in mutts and don’t have any experience with Large Dogs and kids so I’m putting it to the members here. Thank you.
