how do you know its safe to leave your pet at kennel when go on vacatio?n?

a kennel after that scare of food fed to animals that made them deathly sick.what are the opptions out there ?

Leaving your beloved pet at a kennel is always a tough call. I do it…and where I leave her is a very reputable kennel…but I still don’t feel completely comfortable doing it. It’s a natural emotion though and stems from your feelings for your pet. Just make sure you check out the kennel thoroughly and make sure no complaints have been filed on them. I use the kennel at my veterinarians office … that way I know there’s a Vet nearby at all times should the worst happen. The absolute best option though is having a relative or friend you trust come over and take care of your pet in your own home. But sometimes that’s hard to do.

As for the food…that stuff can happen anywhere, even at home. Most kennels feed dry food which wasn’t included in this last scare and is pretty safe.
