Does anyone own the pet safe instant fence wireless? Was considering purchasing and needed some feed back.?

Cathy, I have had a wireless unit for 5 years, never a problem. Just plug it in and go. The only down fall (for me) is the shape, the transmittion is a circle. I personally need a longer shape to fit my yard better, I have a deep yard and want my dogs to be able to go further away from the house with out going into the neighbor’s yard. I don’t want a invisible fence because I have heard if the underground wire breaks, which they seem to do, then the whole system is useless. Then you can’t find the break in the wire and you have to replace all the wires. Which means digging up the wire and putting in a new one. I don’t want to do that.

I paid close to $300 at Petsmart for my Wireless and it was worth the money, Never a problem (just if the batteries on the collar go out, my dogs will run). I just need to keep up with the batteries and they stay near the house just fine.

I am thinking about getting a second Wireless system to try to increase the distance into my yard. I highly recommend the Wireless. It is easy, plug it in a let the dogs out. They will learn real fast that after the beeping starts and they don’t come back they will get a shock. You don’t need flags and all of that. Just one zap and they will learn to associate the beeping with the shock. Like I said, I am thinking about getting a second one to try to increase my area. The Wireless is well worth the $300.
